LIGHT ACADEMY SS SPORTS & VISITATION DAY TERM TWO 2019.
The much-awaited Annual Sports Day/Visitation Day Term Two was held on Sunday 14th July 2019, with great zeal, excitement and merry atmosphere.
The program began with an Assembly, where students were briefed about the day’s arrangement. The students entered into the spirit of the occasion in a grand way with the help by the House patrons, Light Academy staff, and our trainers.
Athletics set the tone for the rest of the event, and as planned, parents started arriving at 10:00AM. Students had before participated in various competitions such as Football, Basketball, volleyball, table tennis, mind games like chess, among others in their respective Houses (e.g. Africa, Europe, Asia & America).
On the day, our boys also showcased numerous skills in activities like Music Dance and Drama (MDD), Karate display, free style dances and others which mesmerized the audience, and furthermore culture preserved and promoted.
Congratulations go to America House who were named as the Champions at the end of the event and awarded their Bull and trophy, followed by Asia with a Goat, and then Europe and Africa respectively.
